There is no close second.
There's not. Great wine selection as well. Bring your own liquor the tax rate and prices are ridiculous.
Just looking for some good local beers that I can't get in Maryland or hopefully run into some of the BCS variants still lying around
This place gets pounded. Not a chance on rare stuff here unless your in town at release. A nice local is Westbrook One Claw, it's a PA that kills the IPA IMO. Check on their growlers, they rotate.
If you are in North Myrtle, pavilion beverage on the corner of Highway 17 and 13th Avenue S does the trick. The folks there have always been nice to me and they have a decent selection.
What kind of distro does NoDa get there? There aren't a whole lot of beers SC gets that I can't get in PA but NoDa is one of them.
According to their website, there is no SC distro...I know I've never seen it in my part of the state
Ive mentioned this before on ba, but the absolute best option for going out one night is Hurricane Maggies, Liberty and Fire and Smoke. Your best taplist will be at Hurricane Maggies. The best food in Myrtle is at Fire and Smoke. They also have a selective tap list. Liberty prob has the most taps in Myrtle. All 3 locations are on the same block around 75th N. Ave
It's the redneck Riviera, Myrtle Beach. For an outstanding burger and some Natty Lite on tap, don't sleep on the River City Cafe.
HC archaic distribution laws regarding volume has forced NoDa to pull back to Charlotte only, I can't get it here anymore. NoDa wants to self distribute, they require the been to stay cold from the brewery thru the delivery process and at the retail location. By NC law if they brew over X number of barrels they have to go to a three tier system, and they said the hell with that.
I bring my own stuff anymore I love the Pig. But compared to what I can get here MB is a beer desert.
I would love to see a REALLY good brewer in NC start a brewery as successful as Side Project where all their beer is sold on premise and max out th barrel cap. Then, start another one a block away under a different name with different beers, and so on. Really stick it to the lawfakers in Raleigh.
Its a really stupid law that discourages growth, decreases the potential tax increases, and reduces employment. Tryon and Barringer must be in someone's pockets.
