BOYS & GIRLS, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES-YOUR CHALLENGE TODAY IS-My wife wants to go to Mystic Connecticut this summer because she is into quilting & apparently there is a large quilting community in this area. I am coming from Buffalo by car. Tell me where to go, including breweries, what to do, including breweries, where to eat, including breweries & anything else that might be helpful. Oh yeah-I like breweries.
Beer'd in Stonington, Grey Sail in Westerly, The Engine Room in Mystic, Wyoming Package in Wyoming, RI, Proclamation in West Kingstown, RI, The Malted Barley in Westerly, Cottrell in Pawcatuck. Just a few off the top of my head. Enjoy!
Jwale73 nailed it. Those span Eastern CT and southern RI. Also, I'm not sure what route you'd take from Buffalo to Mystic, but if I-90 to I-395 you could hit Tree House and the Armsby Abbey in Worcester. One of the very few places that get Hill Farmstead on tap outside northern VT.
1. Beerd Brewing Company 2. Engine Room has a great tap list and food 3. Outer Light Brewing Company 4. Grey Sail (Captain's Daughter) 5. Malted Barley for killer tap list (available as 4oz pours as well) and craft soft pretzels. Enjoy!
Another vote for Beer'd and Engine room. If you make it within their hours Proclamation is a must hit 20-30 mins away and a real gem.
If you're traveling I-84, get your growler filled at DeCicco's in Brewster NY. EZ off, EZ on .https://www.beermenus.com/places/2197-decicco-s-brewster
And remember, in MA growlers are only that brewery's growler, but in CT, most breweries will fill anybody's.
Beer'd has had cans for 3 weeks running, but this is new and I'd check their social media the weekend you are coming.
