Also posted in NW forum, since we seem to cover northern Idaho as well. Post Falls Brewing: http://www.spokane7.com/blog/2015/oct/16/three-show/ Self-described hopheads, sounds like they're bucking the local trend toward smaller, sessionable beers, and that they're starting big, to avoid capacity issues when/if they are successful. Hopefully the gamble will work out for them.
After Ramblin' Road went under I really don't expect much as far as really good beer in this entire region. RR was a 40 mile drive for me into the congested city from N Idaho. I supported them as best I could. Seems the better you are in the business the worse you'll fare. Mad Bomber, Downdraft, even Selkirk Abbey (do they even make a Belgian style beer?) are on my no no list. I've had some decent brews at Daft Badger but $5/pint + tax? Their food ain't cheap either. I'll be one of this new place's customers... I'll have my fingers crossed.
