I have that one too. Never been able to find out what it is either. Damn.

Definitely Estrella Damm. Sapporo has a cap that's very similar except without the gold circle around the star.

For what it is worth, a Russian collector - who specialises in 'picture caps' and who is a member of the Crowncaps.Info website has logged this cap on the CC.I database as coming from USA - Anheuser-Busch, Inc. However he has not given the name of the brand so it is difficult to validate that entry. Is 'Pure Seal' the brand name of the crown cap manufacturer (factory sign)? The example on the CC.I website shows Zapata with a registration mark. This is a USA producer and these specific caps are used in a number of countries including, not surprisingly, the USA. Sorry I can't offer any more to unlock this mystery. Nice cap nonetheless. I wish I had it in my collection.

Ha! I just saw that it even says "Estrella Damm" right on it!

Is anyone able to place this cap? Going through a big bag I've collected over time and this one has me puzzled.

In the time it took me to look it up on the CC.I website database you responded with the answer, and you beat me by 6 minutes but then I guess if the brewery was in your neck of the woods you had something of an advantage. The race is on for the next one!

Yeah, it's not too often that I recognize caps, but for this one I did have an advantage. So it became 'instantly' vs. '6 minutes.'

I paged through the US Patent and Trademark Office website for trademarks licensed by A-B since 2006. I couldn't find anything that could remotely describe what's on this cap (is it a cat? an alien? triangle man?). I did see that A-B somehow was able to trademark various airport abbreviations from around the US. It was also interesting to see things they had trademarked, but didn't use much if at all.
As for that Russian collector, I don't know how he gets his caps, but I doubt he drinks the product to get them. He has lots of caps in the database with no product name. He also has this one of mine below with no product listing. He just has it as "R". Damn frustrating.
One minor clue on this one is the bits of blue aluminum foil stuck to it.

I have no idea what this is. Any markings on the side? As far as the Triangle-Head Man Mystery goes, l still say it's not A-B. No tell-tale signs that l can see.

Hi guys - thanks to all the resources here, I've been able to identify all but two caps. Would you do me the favor of taking a look? Thanks!

The one with the "S" looks similar to Saugatuck Brewing (http://saugatuckbrewing.com/) but I've never seen any deviation on a cap from their logo on the website. So this is just a guess.

The 'S' cap is from Lion Breweries, New Zealand (Lion Nathan Co) and the brand is 'Steinlager'.

I soaked the cap in soapy water to get all the aluminum foil off. No other markings at all. No cap manufacturer logo. Nothing. The quest continues.

Amigos, I just had success finding the ID of a cap with no writing on it. I took a photo of it (using a scanner does a good job). Then uploaded the photo into a Google image search. Success! I'd tried this before with the caps above with no luck and no results even close. I think the key is the cap below is recent and there are images of the logo out there. Not so with the other caps I've tried.
Cap below is Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project. Found it in the street outside a bar in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
