I only have had one of their beers (Lost Dog) and I dont remember it being very good so I'm hesitant to pick up some more of their stuff. It doesnt seem like its a big brewery so I'm surprised I can get their stuff all the way over here. Whats the general consensus on these guys ?

Not that good. Their seasonals are always on clearance at Total Wine.

I purchased one of their Lost Dog for $2.99 at Shoprite Liquors where I purchase nearly 99% of my beer. As I recall, it was only "ok." It didn't blow me away, but I felt I had little to lose for the price I paid. I've not seen anything else by them. Even if I do, I'll most likely pass it by.

They were advertising (at least a couple of years ago) that they "pair well with food". While fine and all, implies to me that food is required...which doesn't seem to be the best selling point to me when most beer drinkers don't even think of pairing it with food.

To me, good, but they don't really distinguish themselves.

Hopageddon is legit. Everything else is ok.

Their red ale was a mess, imo. The ipa wasn't too good either.

I actually think they're above average. Largely mediocre with some pleasant surprises based on my experience.

I have noticed that the description on the labels tends to create expectations that are never met, so whichever cat they have scribbling those notes down in Napa is doing a smashing job.

Had Hopageddon in the past couple weeks and really like it. Haven't seen any others.

they're not bad, but not really great either.

the market out here in california is highly competitive --- i would be surprised if they last much longer... and the funny thing is i just drove by the brewery today and thought, "surprised they are still around."
