being a first year fest I'd be curious to see what these breweries actually bring... I'd put my money on it being more a distributors fest when the breweries won't even have there own reps there... We'll see... too many fest these days not enough "other" beers to go around...

These are my exact thoughts as well. Guaranteed there's nothing "crazy" that any of these breweries bring. I'm guessing mostly year round stuff with maybe some seasonals thrown in there. However, July in Naperville means hot ass chicks with skimpy clothing. Since I'm only 20 mins away I'm prolly in on this.

I think you're probably right... I plan on nudging the breweries with my figurative elbow to see if we cant squeeze out some decent stuff from them- let them know that the nerds will be present and expecting something good!

What about that homeless guy who lived on the sidewalk behind the college, or do you have to pull six figures to get a cardboard box in Naperthrill?

That is a writer who has been protesting something for like 5 years now. He's still around town, but can't remember last place I saw him a moth or so ago.

I last saw him about a month ago on the corner of Naper and Ogden by the Mobil there.. off to the side.

Scott Huber or whatever.. or so his sign always says.

lol first of all the box may look cardboard, but its actually made of the dead skin of generations of naperville royalty, so quite expensive, yes. But from what I remember, the dude actually has money and had a nice house and job, but wanted to stop paying taxes or some shit-- thus became box man. Looks like hes paying for it now huh?

Pours tend to get generous at these types of events. You also sometimes see people giving away excess tickets. I'd assume for $45-$55 it's just about all you can/should drink

72 of the 74 confirmed breweries will have a representative at the fest. We are working with 20 or so of the brewers on getting 1/6 barrels of rare and harder to find beers. We also have a few some small batch experimentals and firkins lined up. We will be releasing the list when we get final confirmation from the breweries.

If there is any beer you would like to see at the 2013 Naperville Ale Fest let us know and we will work directly with the brewers. Almost every brewery, with the exception of 1 or 2, will have a rep at the fest. We told them up front to bring their A game.
