Naples Beach Brewery - Imperial Funk

    I saw on their Facebook that they are releasing their first bottles. Imperial Funk - a DIPA aged in barrels with some Brett added. I believe they will be the 2nd SW Florida brewery to package.

    Anyone have experience with this brewery? I'm an hour away and have not checked them out. I might have to make the trip.

    Went to a trade soft open at the end of September and was really impressed by their beers. lots of balanced beers (even the "big" beers had balance) and you could sense a focus toward "drinkable" profiles suited to SWFL: nothing cloying or over the top. Even the one style that was out of character (scotch ale with peat-smoked malt) was very well done.

    Have not heard about Imperial Funk but given what I tried I will absolutely take a flyer if I see it.

    This brewery along with Momentum in Bonita Springs have really put SWFL on the map for quality local craft beer where virtually none previously existed.
