Heading to Naples this week (I'm weird and like how quite it is in the summer despite the heat). Ive been there many times since we have a condo there, but have always just gone the whole food beer route (Jai alai, Tampa Lager) . Is there anything in the area that's especially worth seeking out. If theres nothing out of the ordinary ill just bring down some sweet New England juice to satisfy my hop needs
Cigar City has a lot of beers that are difficult to find in N.E. and are worth trying. A cool bar to go to is Pelican Larry's on Davis Blvd. near the intersection of 951 and I95. Foxboro Sports Tavern is pretty cool, they have a urinal with the Yankees logo at the bottom, helps greatly with a guys aim.
I was impressed with Naples Beach Brewery last time I was there. Brass Tap has growler fills and always has a great taplist.
I liked Momentum up in Bonita Springs, not that far from Naples Overall solid beers from what I tried. Have not tried Naples Beach Brewery or Bone Hook, heard better things about Naples Beach Brewery. You might be able to get some Toppling Goliath beers at the Total Wine stores in the area. Someone mentioned in the TW thread the stuff from Toppling Goliath the stores are getting are not from Brew Hub in Lakeland anymore.
I live in Fort Myers and know the area pretty well. Best stop is the brass tap in Naples, 50 something taps and they gave a nano brewery (south Cypress) integrated in that’s very good. South street has a good taplist good food. Lowbrow pizza has dope pizza and a pretty comprehensive selection of local beers. Bone Hook and Naples beach are both decent breweries in the Naples area. If you wanna make the journey a bit north, I prefer the Fort Myers beer scene to the Naples one. I’ve been to momentum and had there beers at other places, overall they were pretty meh to me and not necessarily worth a stop unless you’re in the area.
