I used to see Genesee CA and Schoenling Little Kings here but I haven't seen either one in years.

Bill, my Mom and her best friend used to drink Busch Bavarian. I think it wuz 99 cents, for a six of tall boys. Hell, yeah, I liked it! Maybe a little over-bubbly, but still good! These new nostagia cans kinda, sorta remind me of 'em, if not quite in taste, at least in spirit.

Gansett is my cheap-o beer of choice. And the summer ale is fantastic. Can't wait to try the cream ale.

Glad to see someone else loves Narragansett Lager! I've been abolutely loving 'Gansett Lager lately......can't believe I've been passing up Flower Power for 'Gansett Lager. Never thought I'd say that. Their Bock just came out too, it's very delicious.

it's really too bad some people have a distaste for it just because it's "macro" (even though Narragansett is a pretty much "craft beer" in size). I think it's one of the most drinkable beers on the planet. I hope they keep their word and rebuild their brewery in RI.

Summer Ale is my favorite and really their only beer I would pick up on a regular basis.

I've been putting 'Hi Neighbor' stickers & Gansett Girl
Calendars in all of my trade boxes for the past 2 months....

Re: their beer - I think their summer & porter are great. The lager is decent - never had their bock or cream ale. Solid offerings at a great price.

Yup, the summer was crazy good! I actually like all of their seasonals. The porter is really nice

I enjoy the Lager, Summer Ale, and Bock. I could be wrong, but I believe they're relatively new to my area. A little on the pricey side of "cheap" at a little over $30 per case locally, though the pounder-factor makes that more reasonable.

Not a huge fan of the regular Lager - really just more American Macro swill, but whatever... if it floats your boat go for it, I just don't understand why this beer gets held up to a better light than many of the other BMC type options. Perhaps it is a bit better than Budweiser, but it falls so far short of even an average craft bottle for the same price that I don't get it.

Their other variations aren't as bad. I kind of put them in the same boat as the Michelob craft attempts like the Rye, Dunkel, Red, etc. It's not something I ever actively purchase, but if a friend has one in the fridge I'll happily drink it without struggle.

I had some a couple of years ago, and I was pleasantly surprised.

    Cheers!
