Going back home to Nashua this upcoming July and was wondering what beer stores to hit that are in the area. I am coming from NC, so are there any good beers releasing up there that we don't get in NC in July? Thanks ahead of time for any replies! Cheers, Eric
Depends on how far you're willing to drive. In Nashua, The Beer Store (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25737/view=beerfly) has pretty much anything that you'll find in NH. However, since MA has a much better selection I usually pop over the border into Tyngsboro and go to The Liquor Shop (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/17560/view=beerfly), which probably has the best selection in the area. If you're willing to drive a little bit further, you can find some decent stores throughout Eastern Mass with better selection than the store in Tyngsboro.
Where in NC? I just moved to Boston from Raleigh last June. Are you bringing any NC or Southern Beer this way? We don't get any Bell's, Terrapin, or New Belgium in these parts.
Thanks Kinsman! Are there any great local breweries releasing anything special around then? seanwhite - I am from the Hickory area, I can get my hands on any of that if you'd like. Anything in particular you're looking for?
In addition to the above mentions, Jaspers in Nashua is very good, too (for NH available stuff) and Ayottes in Hudson NH has a nice selection and sometimes cheaper prices. A bit further south is Harringtons in Chelmsford. All are here in Beerfly... Prosit! (Nashua resident)
Old Hickory has been making some good beer lately too. Ill ping you in June, to see if Terrapin or Sweetwater have any good seasonals out at the time.
Sounds awesome man, just hit me up, more than willing to bring whatever up you'd like that I can find.
Hey guys, how readily could I find BCBS (any of its variants) or Imperial Stout Trooper up in the Nashua area? Any great beers you guys get that the rest of the country mostly doesn't get?
Neither of those are sold in NH and their popular enough now that they come and go pretty quickly from any stores in Mass that get them.
If you are planning a trip to Bert's Better Beers in Hooksett you better put White Birch on you itinerary. Bill is a great guy that makes a great product and he's only a few minutes down the road from Bert's.
Great call. White Birch always offers plenty of samples to try in their shop, and they've started doing regularly scheduled tours (every half-hour between 12-2pm) on Saturdays. The folks at White Birch are all super friendly. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
