Hey y'all, my wife will be down in Nashville for a conference this weekend. She's into craft beer (as am I, duh) and was wondering what's available/local and worth picking up. We love Sours (Damascene around?), Stouts, BW, and (D)IPA's.

Craft Brewed is the best bottle shop. Stop by Yazoo. Might still be some Cherry Deux Rouge (sp) still around. Won a GABF medal last year for sour.

What Volnitian said, plus Midtown Liquors and The Flying Saucer.

My wife must be at the same conference. Any recommendations on stuff that is available in bottles or cans?

Woodland Wine Merchant has a pretty good selection of things. You can get Damascene in town. Can't recall if Woodland carried it or not, but I've seen it around. Yazoo still has some Cherry Deux Rouge and BW bottles available for takeaway in their taproom.

I've been really digging Blackberry Farm's Classic Saison. They just won a medal at GABF for their Summer Saison, hopped with newschool hops which is also very good. 2nd Shift's Katy is another staple in my fridge.

I'm headed to the downtown area. Anything that you can recommend that might not be ranked in the BA directory?

Try Black Abbey. The brewery is downtown and their stuff is fantastic. If you like stouts, try the POTUS 44. You can get a growler at most good Nashville beer stores for only $5. Also, if you are lucky, you might find a handfull of the POTUS 44 that were barrel aged and hand bottled in bombers at the brewery. The Rose and the Special are also very good if you do not like stouts.

Black Abbey is not downtown. It off Thompson Lane.

Heard Frugal is a decent shop...I'll be going up 65 around T-Giving so any other bottle shops right off the interstate?

Red Dog is right of 65 in Franklin, south of town, and Craftbrewed is right beside 65, but about halfway between two exits, pretty close to Frugal.

Red Dog has a really good craft selection and so does the Bottle Shop in Cool Springs. The largest selection is probably going to be Cool Springs Wine and Spirits. They have a great selection of Belgiums.

In Cool Springs/Williamson County, Red Dog is #1 imo. It's my favorite store in Nashville area.

I'll be in Nashville next weekend and have done my due diligence to figure out the places with the best selections. However, I'm looking for some help with specials etc. Are there any $3.00etc pint nights/specials around town fri-sun (focus on local options preffered)? Also, what's the best place to watch college games while drinking off the most selective tap lists? My plan is to bounce around the Gulch Saturday for games and brews as it seems to be the biggest concentration of craft/sports options. Am I on the right track with this idea? Finally I put an IP trade in the IP forum if anyone is interested in Carolinas brews. Cheers!!

If in town next weekend and want to check out the franklin area, Mantra Artisan Ales is opening their tap room. Will have specials. Was at their soft opening this past weekend and it was awesome. All the beers I had (they will have more this weekend) were on point, especially the Milk Stout on nitro and the Citra Saison.

I don't know what's going on. I made 2 posts. I guess the keep getting deleted. Anyhow, I've got a bunch of stuff from the Carolinas and looking for things I can't get in the Carolinas. Preference towards BA Beers and Sours. Cheers! !
