The episode of Abandoned that is airing right now on the National Geographic channel is featuring the guys going through the abandoned Pabst Brewery headquarters.
Milwaukee just had its Doors Open event and I got to walk through a few of the buildings. They're not going to be abandoned much longer... hotels and Bn'Bs are going in the brewery and corporate offices respectively. Pretty cool stuff. Looks like they're doing a lot of things right in terms of preservation. We ended up hitching a ride along the pabst tour - which was given by the guy featured in that show. Never caught his name since we missed the beginning. I guess he has an obsession with the number 23... he made some mention of how he sold of a bunch of stuff for that price in the show and was billed as an eccentric. Really interesting guy. I'd highly recommend the pabst tour to anyone in Milwaukee.
Yeah I think the guys name was Jim and he said about the Bed and Breakfast plans on the show, and yes, wanted to sell the stuff for particular numbers based on his birthday and stuff. Cool castle-like look to the outside of the buildings.
