Since I've gotten some interests from my "feeler" post, I thought I would post an NBO:

Here are the details for those who did not read the feeler:
This BIF will be revovling around the 8 "crazy" nights of Hanukkah, which take place between 12/8-12/16. You don't have to be Jewish to be in this BIF.

    The guidelines are pretty simple:
    - Send 8 bottles of beers that are wrapped up individually prior to 12/8 (Boxes should be received by 12/5) and the recipient opens up a single bottle each night and posts the unveiled beer. Try to wrap the beer like it's a wrapped gift!
    - There isn't an oz. limit, but one bottle needs to be a growler.
    - Please try to hit wants/as well as send beer that you would be very happy to receive yourself. Try not to send beer that your target can get in their area etc.
    - I will assign you a BA to send your box to
    - Please keep it at 8 bottles only. No swag or extra bottles, so make your 8 bottles count!

So far I believe I have 9 Great BA's. I would like to get it to atleast 12. I'll be closing this by Monday/Tuesday and sending out targets mid-week.

Post here or message me if interested!

    - Isaac

If you've got room for an IL participant, I'd love to get in on this one!

You're in beersis81 and surprisingly the first person from IL participating!

We still have room and it looks like I'll be closing this tonight so I can get out targets ASAP. For those on the fence, you're receiving presents...of beer...for 8 days!

I assume we are suppose to number the bottles so our target knows the sequence in which to open said presents?

At least that is what i plan on doing.

I'd agree with this, though I might suggest everyone open the required growler first...

I think this is going to be a fun one. Surprised more people haven't jumped in yet...

As for the ordering - what is the traditional way to do the 8 nights of presents? Do you start small and build up to the best on the last day? Or go big early and wind down? Or is it usually pretty random?

I think it would be fun to number the bottles. As for order, it wasn't really set, atleast for my family. Sometimes I would receive the biggest one first, sometimes I would receive the biggest present last.

I think it would be fun to do a growler as one of the bottles, so maybe that could be the first bottle opened so people can drink as fresh as possible? And maybe put a " refrigerate" on other bottles next to number if they are ipas etc.

    What do you guys think?

And right now we have 11 people, all from different states except for MN, which is being represented by mista and I!

a minimum BA score would be nice otherwise i'm sending a Blatz with the #1 on it  don't worry i'll kill it with #8

I like this idea. The anticipation of opening bottles for 8 days. Hell makes me feel like a 5 year old again and i've always been jealous of the jewish kids getting presents for multiple days...hahaha

Hahaha. I mean technically you could open all of your Christmas presents over the span of 8 days...

In regards to BA score, I'm not sure if we need one, since the BA's participating in this BIF have lots of experience for the most part. I will say that I'm not going to send one under 90 from what I'm thinking, but I'm more focused on crushing my target with wants/great beer.

Yeah, wasn't much of an order on the presents in my family either, but I suspect I'll go for the buildup here!

So are you going to pick up an American Adjunct Lager growler as the first beer?

We have 12 now, but I'll keep this open to more BA's until tomorrow 12 pm CST, since a good BA I know will confirm whether he can participate or not.

I'd like to participate in this one if you'll take me - sounds like a great idea and fun. Based on your saying there were quality participants has me join. Was pretty let down with my last BIF beer opening. Such wide open rules can sometimes lead to disappointment.

You're in huadog. Shoot me over your info. And yes, while I kept it pretty open, I got a good feeling that there will be some really nice hauls. Mission should be to destroy your targets with great beer, hopefully some wants as well for every BA.

You made the right decision, my friend. We're now at 14 people. Targets will be going out tonight. This should be a fun one folks.
