NBO: Black Booty - Rise from the Dead

After taking a year off, the Black Booty BIF is back! This is not the BIF for you if you are into pales ales, IPAS, and anything you can see through. You can only send dark beers so expect to get a lot of stouts and porters. I am going to stick with the rules from last time I organized this in terms of what qualifies as black booty which gives us a little more variety of beers. That means you can send Stouts, Porters, Barleywines, Belgian Dark Ales, and any other types of beers that are dark. I am not going to list every type of beer you can send. Just go with the general rule: If in doubt, do not send it. The rules are as follows:

· Minimum 10 bottles of beer – Since people tend to ignore my limits, try to keep it in the 10 to 14 bottles range. Size is not relevant. Focus on quality over quantity

· 1 Beer related gift (T-shirt, glassware, etc.)

I have been burned the last couple of times I organized a BIF with newbies bailing out. I am still going to allow newbies but we have a newbie shipping window before the general shipping window. Anybody with less than 5 trades or 2 BIFS is considered a newbie.

I am going to limit this to around 40 people. The timeline is as follows:

Jan 9 – Jan 15 – Sign Ups
Jan 16 – Jan 20 - Assignments will go out
Jan 21 – Jan 28 Going Shopping
Jan 28 – Feb 4 – Newbie Shipping
Feb 5 – Feb 19 – Everyone else ship
