    In both past iterations, @Summer78 has run the league through the Yahoo! pool manager. I don't mean to speak for him, but as it's been successful I see no reason to change.

    You can't ask for more fun for your BIF (beer) money than this - 17 weeks of entertainment!

    Any chance that we can turn it upside down a little too? Last place (lowest score only includes those that participated every week and filled in all scores) gets a box too? Maybe lowest score each week also gets a box (Bottom gets a box, bottom 2-5 send to winner, and bottom 6th sends to bottom)? Might make for some interesting plays down the stretch...

    I like the idea of doing something for the worst, but it gets hard to track when people start forgetting about picking their games.

    I've kicked around the idea of doing bottom in the week ships also, but everyone will have to ship at some point, so after a few weeks, it will likely only be someone in the bottom 10. I also like that winners will be much more likely to receive something from out of the markets distro, whereas with bottom ships, you could get all people who have the same access to the same beers.

    I like the ideas, but they are a little harder to implement, but if everyone wants to try to work something like these in, I'm sure we could find a way.

    that all is good, especially for the weekly. I forgot it was everyone ships at some point, not just the bottom feeders. Should just read the OP...

    But just maybe, bottom final score gets 1, or doesn't send one. SHould not be too hard to find the first one at the bottom that didn't miss a week...

    I think this is a good suggestion for the first year. With the caveat that they have made a pick for all regular season games.

    Already messaged you to count me in, but wanted to pop into the thread as well with a quick question...

    So with a maximum pool of 68 players, with each player sending at least one box (to contribute towards the weekly winners, I'm guessing), that's 4 boxes per week over the course of 17 weeks. Does the weekly winner get all 4 boxes? Or will there be multiple weekly winners if there are that many boxes per week?

    This sounds like a ton of fun. Question, when is pick deadline for each game/week? I get pretty busy weekdays, and I probably could not have all my picks submitted before Thursday nights game for example.

    All four boxes go to the weekly winner. We use the Yahoo default tiebreak rules. I forget exactly what they are, but they are posted on the site somewhere. We have had 2 ties in 2 years. If we don't get to 68, the weekly winner will get 3, and the extras go in a pool (last year, people who finished second due to tiebreak rules also got 3 boxes) and the other extra boxes went to a playoff confidence sidepool, which paid out the top 4.

    I believe it is set so you can make selections up to 5 minutes prior to kickoff, for each game. We have had people change picks for sunday and monday night games trying to steal a week. It's all part of the strategy.
