NBO: NBA Finals BIF

Unfortunately, I missed parts of the thread and didn't read back until after sending the package. Had I known, I would have went lighter on the New Glarus stuff and more heavy with some Rev, Half Acre or Pipeworks stuff! I live in a great location as I am right on the WI/IL border and can hit a lot of those WI/IL specialties.

 

No the NG/Tyranena beers are greatly appreciated...I haven't been back to Wisconsin in about a year so the fix was greatly needed!

 

So the last two BiF's I've participated in I'm going flat out destroyed but I really feel like a winner when these amazing mini BiF boxes hit my doorstep. It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of our community. The over the top, flat out porch destroying box of mouth watering brews is care of @BrownAleMale. Thank you so much for all the awesomeness!!!

Tyranea Coffee Oatmeal Porter - Love the style. Can't wait to crack it

FFF Topless Wytch - Anything from FFF is an Ultra Want
Pipeworks Coffee Abduction - I received this in a trade a few months back. Bringing it into my house I dropped it and it smashed all over the floor. Cursing, screaming and tears followed. Since then I've been dying for a second go at it. I'll be holding this like a new born.

Just a flat out jaw dropping package (and I'll second @mps 's assessment on the packing. Just kept pulling bottle out of bottle out of the box). Cheers Buddy!

 

The best one from them too! I haven't had any R&D, but I've had Apple Ale, Strawberry Rhubarb, Wisconsin Belgian Red, Serendipity, and Raspberry Tart and the Serendipity is my favorite.

Unfortunately, MoMoCoe wasn't still on, but Zephyrus was (and was delicious). They had a new one called Bob, named after the character from Twin Peaks. The recipe was literally designed by Jean throwing rocks at glasses to decide what to put in it, and it wound up including cardamom, fennel pollen, D2 syrup, and cherries... it was SO weird. On the plus side, in another nod to Twin Peaks, every order of that one came with a slice of delicious cherry pie! mmmmmmmmmm


Hint #HHHNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG My target has not been absent from BA but has not been posting on this thread, and therefore I'm pretty sure he has no idea he's my target.

 

The white oak is a totally different beer, but also excellent. nice box!!

edit: I hope he doesn't mind my saying so, but both.

 

I agree with the Serendipity being the best of the regular fruit beers. Followed by Raspberry Tart and then Belgian Red. I didn't personally like the Strawberry Rhubarb.

I was traveling this week and have debated sending my mini box tomorrow or waiting until Monday given the holiday weekend. I would ask my mini BIF target what his preference was but he still hasn't guessed that I am his sender...

 

I still don't know who my sender is.. but I would say u might as well wait

Goose Island Gillian - Big want, I haven't had any of the sisters yet, I just can't pull the trigger on those, in PA they're $30 each and if I bought one I'd want to buy them all to have a set... suffice to say I'm really looking forward to this

Cisco The Woods Monomoy Kriek - This is on my wants and I honestly don't remember why, except that it looks amazing

3x Westbrook Gose - I would go through a case of this a month without a problem if it was in my distro, always happy to get more!

 

I agree with this, never want to have boxes sitting on hot trucks over a 3 day weekend (4 if it's a home, no fedex home delivery on Mondays).

On a side note- Who is still waiting on boxes? I haven't gone through and counted but I'm guessing there's a few still out there? Let's set the end of this week as a deadline if you haven't gotten your box(es) out yet, DO IT!
