So, the thing to do at New Years is to make a resolution of a change in your life or trying something new. I think as beer drinkers we come accustomed to our ways and don't try new things as much as we should. This BIF is to give some styles a shot that you haven't in the past, or revisiting a style for a 2nd shot.

This is a bif for those willing to expand their horizons in 2014. I am looking for about 20 or so experienced traders/bif participants.

This will be a 144 oz minimum of expanding styles or wants with extras encouraged. The shipping dates will be December 21st for less experienced traders and December 28th for the others.

If interested, let it be known below and bm me your info (Name, address, phone #, shirt size and styles you are interested in expanding your horizons with) and when we are around 20 or at December 1st I will Bm you with a target.

    Any questions just ask below!

Interesting idea. I'm tempted, but not sure if I could make a box, or what to pick to expand my horizon...

Depending on my targets style, I might not be able to reach the minimum. For example if they were to say I am trying to expand to bock, it would be tough/impossible.

On the other hand if one were to say I want to expand to sours or BA beers. Thats going to be a rather expensive box, compared to other normal styles.

Perhaps making a list to choose from and making it general....what comes to mind... Dark beer, hoppy beer, malty beer, spiced beer. Maybe with a list of acceptable styles, after.

Again interesting idea, with some tweaks, could be cool.

I do realize this is a tough time of year money wise, so that can be a concern. As for style, I was meaning multiple styles. Me for example, I would give my target farmhouse ales, black iPas and non sour Belgians. I wouldn't expect just a single style to be provided for the target. I think each person could come up with 3 styles or generalities (German beers, sours, ect....) and then add in wants and the 144 oz should be pretty attainable.

I have done multiple trades but never a BIF. I might be in for this. I will let you know.

That is fine, as long as you have some experience.

3 styles sounds reasonable. I am tempted.
