NBO: Sour BIF 5

    Ok, heres the gig-

    25 folks, preference goes to previous Sour BIF entrants.

    Three bottles. The only exception is a homebrewed sour. Seriously guys, just three bottles.

    Sexy boxes. Last time we had a rule about one bottles being uber sexy, it seemed to work well. That would be something rare-ish, hard to get, older, more than a simple brewery release. 2008 Lou pepe? yeah. Surly 5? no. Batch one LeBleu? yeah. 3F Skarenbeekerwhatnot? not so much. Veritas 00x? yep. Supplication? no. The rest of the box should be beers of quality, ie: Rosso e marone, cantillions, Allagash coolships, RR, the like. Be cool, be generous, and everybody will have a great time. If you have any questions, ask me, ask one of the more senior members of the BIF, be cool. We wont be vetting bottles or boxes in the thread, I trust you all to be adults.

    Participation. If you sign up, be prepared to participate in the BIF thread. Please post something about what beers you like, what you look for out there, what you have had and haven't had. Tell us about sours you don't like, and sours you love. With the wants/gots not being fully integrated right now, you will need to put some effort in so the person sending to you can build a box for you of pure sexiness. Time and time again I see that people who participate get the nicest boxes possible because they sender has something to work with.

    I'm interested in participating. So that I understand, the rule is 3 bottles, no more (unless HB) and no less?

    Correct. You can only go over 3 if the extras are sour homebrews. No more, No less.

    I would say last round went pretty well and there wasnt really any superwhale boxes and only a couple slouches that i wished had a little more thought put into them. Lets not use low release numbers as a crutch guys. We all know whats good and whats not so be generous and it will come back. There was a solid group of guys last time and im sure this will be another great round.
