and it was supposed to be rare........

In all seriousness though does b5 beatification qualify as the big hitter now that the market is flooded with it? Id love a bottle either way but to save confusion for others.

No way beat b5 goes as the big hitter of this bif. Now a B4, 3 or 2 yes

Agreed but like i said i wouldnt be offended if there was a beat b5 in my box. Now obv it goes without saying early batches 1,2,3 and ph1 are whales at this point and i would be shocked to see them in a box.

I don't think Beat should be considered as the 'big hitter' in a box. I say that because in the first post beers like Veritas 00x and a 2008 Lou Pepe are cited as uber sexy bottles. I think Beat would fall into the category of the remaining 2 slots.

That being said, I wouldn't mind at all if I wind up with a Beat

With 3 bottles of Beat, we could trade for the entire Stone brewery.

OK, targets are all mailed out. If for any reason there is a problem, let me know NOW. This is the biggest this BIF has ever been, I just want to make sure nothing slips between the cracks.

So, now for the fun stuff- Lets make some sexy fucking boxes. This BIF can get difficult, because quality in three bottles is much more difficult than shear quantity. I know you guys can follow the spirit and make sure your targets are smashed with amazing bottles. Three bottles. Doesn't matter what size, 7 oz nip or 64 oz growler, only three bottles of commercial beer.

Thanks for being in this, you guys are awesome.

Is it time to participate and talk about what we like/don't like?

    WELL!
I like Cantillon... a lot. Never had a 'loon I didn't like. 'Foune and Iris really stick out in my memory. When it comes to geuze, Drie Fonteinen Oude Gueuze is my favorite and I have a ton stockpiled. Also have a good amount of Cantillon's geuze. I love all the RR sours although I've never had a Beatification. I had an '08 Kriek from Cascade and enjoyed it, Vlad and Plague are BIG wants of mine from Cascade. I love American sours but prefer 'loons any day.

I would love to get some hints from my target. Judging from his/her wants- I think I'm gonna make my target happy.

Now... off to trade these Chocolate Rains for my target!
