NBO: Summer School BIF

    Recently, I've been itching to run my first BIF. Now that we're a little over halfway through the summer (my favorite time of year)...game on!

    This will be a shotgun BIF with all participants receiving their targets on Monday, July 29th AND sending out their boxes during the shipping window (August 19th-23rd). This will ensure that everyone will have some new summer-appropriate brews to enjoy over Labor Day Weekend - the official end of summer.

    Boxes must contain a minimum of 144-oz (basically two 12-packs) of fresh, preferably local beer from the following styles (or your target's "wants"):
    - American Blonde Ale
    - American Pale Lager
    - American Pale Wheat Ale
    - Berliner Weissbier
    - Hefeweizen
    - Kölsch
    - Kristalweizen
    - Saison/Farmhouse Ale
    - Witbier
    - (any beer deemed to be a "summer seasonal" release)

    There is no swag requirement and no maximum-ounces limit. This BIF will be capped at 25 participants (the current average class size in US schools). If you're interested (n00bs welcome), please reply to this thread by 5pm on Friday, July 26th. I'll review the applicant pool (profile, trading/BIF history, etc.) this week and send out acceptance/wait-list beermails on Friday night.

    At the end of this BIF, all participants will vote for their favorite box/haul (cannot be the one they sent). The sender of the winning box/haul will receive an extra-credit box from me sometime after Labor Day.

    4 days is a tight shipping window. Not downing it at all, might be hard for some people to hunt down specific beers/growlers that are on want lists and such. I am on the fence fo sho.

    You have 3 weeks to ship from the time he announces the targets (July 29th) till he first day boxes need to be shipped (Aug. 19). That should be plenty of time to fill up a box.

    Just my opinion of course!

    As long as you hit the 144-oz minimum, it doesn't matter the actual bottle/can size.

    who fucks around with the minimum anyways.... Hope everyone has a fork lift. I can't promise everything will be summer styles, but I can promise this guy is gonna mess up someones porch. I want to make this one a good one since it will be my last bif for a little while.

    Joe - No, you can put in whatever you want, of what ever size you want, and any quantity you want as long as the 144oz. minimum is met and you meet the theme of the BIF.

    I believe you and I are on the same page with this one...with a child on the way, I told ufmj that the only reason i am doing this BIF is because he is a solid ass dude and I need to help him bust this cherry!!!!
