This is perhaps the first group that I'm interested in both games. Wish I had the old picture in picture.

 

Who are you cheering for, so I can root against?

I've got Columbia winning the group and Ivory Coast second, which I think many people do as well.

 

And the Greeks strike first!!!

 

The Greeks look pretty good right now, no question.

 

I already made it known to a very Greek friend of mine. They haven't responded and I'm actually waiting for a knock on the front door.

 

And the Ivory Coast is back, bitches!

The IC played no defense and should be shamed regardless of this outcome.

 

There was 90 seconds left and I counted 6 defenders in the box for Ivory Coast. For shame. There is no reason why there isn't all 12 men in the box. Lazy bastards.

I had Japan in first and Columbia in second...ouch again...Hopefully tomorrow France, Switzerland and Nigeria & Argentina won't disappoint.

 

I'm getting pummeled in the brackets, but by god this tournament HAS IT ALL!

If you've failed to see the intrigue of this sport over the past 12 days then, you are probably blind or something.

 

Interesting start for me, so far: one perfect side of the bracket, one completely busted. Going to need a good bottom half with 1 of my 2 finalist already out.

 

BTW, I never used those ESPN brackets, how are the points awarded in the playoff stage? For example how many you get for getting your team to the final or to 1/4? I'm just wondering if people with 3-6pts still stand a chance or that's pretty much game over
