    Not sure about intrapeninsular envy (possible BIF name?), but it does remind me of:

    Where else can you have a legitimate sub-heading for "Islands in lakes on islands in lakes on islands"

    Isleception. "You dawg, we heard you liked islands in lakes, so we put an island in a lake on an island in a lake that is also on an island."

    (Of course, that's not to be confused with "Lakes on islands in lakes on islands in lakes" which are clearly totally different. Although if you were to consider the Americas as one massive island, I suppose you could add just one more "on an island" to that entry.)

    Potential Haul hint - I will do my best to be able to get you good stuff from the upper mid-west. Hopefully I'll be headed to South Dakota before the send date, and that's a harder to get state.
