Could you review a beer after a round of golf?

 

As long as you mention that the sprinkler is refilling your pitcher.

 

This seems different from most of what I know of golf. Frankly, this could be what finally gets me out on the links.

 

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen of the BIF14 committee

I submit for your consideration my application into this BIF.

One year ago, I presented myself to this BIF for consideration and I am earnestly grateful for the BEER that I have received. I am very sure that every other BIF participant was as appreciative, if not more, of drinking these delicious BIF beers.

I have faced several challenges on my way to this BIF: postal delays, beer lines, bubble wrap shortages, paper cuts , missing bottle openers, lost porch rebuilding plans and other first world Beer Advocate dilemmas. But each one of these challenges has only strengthened my resolve to become the better beer drinker that I am today. A thorough and thoughtful professional beer drinker who knows exactly what he wants; lip smacking lagers, interesting IPA’s , stellar stouts, fantastic farmhouses, super sours, killer kolsch’s, and wild Berliner weisses.

As someone who sets his eyes on a goal and does not lose sight of it, unless it is achieved. Drinking this beer would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from the veteran BIF Beer Drinkers for whom I have the deepest respect such as @FBarber , @ovaltine , @nc41, @foundersasap ,@Dimidiata , @2beerdogs, @BBThunderbolt , @Roguer, @colts9016 @Roy_Hobbs , @Whyteboar and many others who deserve credit but my time before you limits their heraldry here. From them I have derived the strength to challenge myself and appreciate their malted , decocted & fermented opinions. And the brews they send me.

I sincerely thank each one of you for helping me reach a beer where I can proudly hold up a glass as a mark of my achievement. I also promise to only get better at my work so that you can see more of my beers mercilessly make kindling of your front porches.

It does, but no commitment from me yet. I need to get a better grasp on what I have to offer. I've pretty much only been frequenting two local breweries anymore. I know one is producing a beer I'd love to send out, but not sure if it'll be available by October. Let me get back to you.

Quick edit: I'll have a decision for you all by the time I return from the mountains, which will nearly coincide with the ending of the sign up period.

 

Well, my plan is to be doing some long mountain hikes several days in a row here shortly. Just need to find someone to bring me hotwings afterwards.

I also need to find a camp-appropriate (i.e. no glass) beer container for reviews.

Some mixed feelings on that one. On the one hand, I like the form of it, but on the other, I want to be able to see my beer for a proper review. For my Seattle trip, I purchased some insulated glass mugs (also wanted a vessel to brew aeropress into without crushing those disposable hotel cups.) I'd take those mugs to Colorado, but don't think glass belongs in a campsite.

May pick up a tall boy aluminum cup at some point just for social gatherings. Nice vessel for some social beer sips, and no one will know if you load it up with water or a bloody mary!
