I've heard a Nunavut tick is WAY better than an Estonian tick. Plus might be easier on the balls. @Roguer knows of what I speak.

No, just trying to figure out if I can make the timing work - moving things back a month adds some complications for this old beer nerd from Pennsylvania.

Bringing this one back. T, you are the O-G. I believe you and I are the only ones who have participated in every single NBS BIF. Come on down from the fence.

 

I picked up the beer for the box I’m sending out later this week or next, from the brewery owned by a couple from Nunavut. Here is a photo so that you can research the beer before receiving it.

 

Life happens. I'm leaning towards participating, but... I ask myself how I would treat somebody else in the same scenario, and recognize that I'd be on the stricter side.

I want to be in, but I need to hold myself to the standards I've held others to.

 

Understandable. That's why I usually skip the autumnal BIF, but my wife convinced me this time that with our time off once the baby is born, I'll have more time to actually shop and then actually consume the contents of our box, ha.

That's super cool. I got super fascinated one slow night at work a couple of months ago and went on a deep dive about Nunavut, and Iqaluit in particular. I'm fascinated by regions of extremes, by remoteness, and generally just by geography/environment that I've never experienced first hand. Up in the Arctic Circle is absolutely one of those regions that I find so fascinating, largely because I just can't relate to it (though that picture looks a whole lot like home, so maybe during the summer it would seem somewhat familiar, ha!)
For some reason (well I suppose the reason is pretty self-evident), I specifically really want someone in Nunavut (or elsewhere up in the arctic, just that we're talking about Nunavut here) to brew a really great eisbock!!
