Well, I actually go through the Canadian border every year to go fishing.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Angle

Last year, when we crossed at Warroad, the Canadian border guard asked us about alcohol. We told him we had about 2 cases of beer (for 3 people). He said "that's not enough". It actually was, because I brought 3 beers back from the trip, along with the 4 pack I bought at the grocery store in Piney, Manitoba.

I will be going back in June, and I sent my passport in for renewal a few weeks back.

I also have a crazy story about my friend Tim, when we crossed back in 2017. We were stopped at the border for a very long time. Apparently there was a Tim with the same full name and birth date/year who was a very naughty boy, and had a very extensive criminal record. It took a bit to determine that our Tim wasn't the naughty Tim.
Now to this question. It's tough. I am really trying to reduce what I have in stock in my fridge and cellar. I have done a great job, and I think I only have 3 beers left from BIFs here and elsewhere. My cellar is getting smaller, and I have room in my fridge for food now.
I love BIFs, and they have brought me tons of great beers. I've helped several members get tough states - South Dakota, North Dakota. They have helped me get new states, and I now stand at 48. I have a decent chance at getting my 49th in May, because I make a side trip to West Virginia when I go to NC on vacation. Just New Mexico to go after that, and if I weren't stupid, I should have gotten that when I went to South Padre back in 16'.
I am probably crazy, but sign me up here. I will be sharing some love from central Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and, maybe Wisconsin.

@ovaltine, to get you in on the stats action, I started digging around and discovered:
    • Among the BIFfoons who had already joined the BIF before today (to the best of my knowledge), @russpowell has added beers that have gotten 606 ratings/reviews, the most of any of them. However, 561 of those reviews are his own.
    • Todd added more "beers reviewed by @ovaltine" to the database than anyone else: 452. @ovaltine himself is in second place in this category, with 236.
    • There is a huge jump down to the next highest number of "reviews by BIF members of beers entered by @ovaltine": a tie for second place between @Whyteboar and @russpowell with 5.

Good luck parsing that stuff, guys.

Hmm, according to my Karma page, I have added at least 750 beers, but I have no idea how to determine how many of them have been reviewed (or by me). :grinning:

I don't know how you do this data mining, but it's fascinating.

419 reviewed by you, if I've done everything right...which of course, I make no guarantees about

Doing my best to help add to the insanity. I don't participate often in these, but I love them when I do.

I see some of mine as Unknown. I've had some WTF beers, but would love to know what the unknown are.

Looks like all the "unknown" ones are because of something weird with the special characters in some of the styles like kolsch and biere de champagne
