Just a suggestion - next BIF, please add your Untapped name - a lot of people here on BA use both.

I hesitated on anything with blueberries due to your lack of interest in raspberry, but I took a chance. As for the Sour in the Rye with peaches. It's a phenomenal beer, and since you rated the base beer highly, I had to hit you with that.
I know the Gray Monday and the Black Tuesday are BIG, so you may not be able to hit those for a while (until you have a few people to share with), but I WILL be sending you a Bruery bottle topper in the next box...along with food.

Very kind of you, but I must respectfully disagree. I've already seen a few that wowed me beyond words.

    Holy .... holy fucking shit.

The coincidence here is that I was just lamenting to my gf that I don't have a beer on hand that seems worthy of rewarding myself following an 8.3 mile run today.

And I come home, from my run, to this:

For reference, I'm 5'8", 150, so those boxes look like they could take me in a fight!

Earlier, I figured I had determined my sender, but I didn't hazard an official call-out. Turns out I was right: @SammyJaxxxx has destroyed me, and in unbelievable fashion. Anyone who has participated in these BIFs know that Greg is a madman. Consider this more proof:

    Rushing Duck Ded Moroz RIS
Kane Stacking Casks Rye BA Barleywine and Wheatwine blend finished in Pineau des Charentes casks
Cigar City Tannhauser Gate Weizenbock blended with BBA Weizenbock
Carton O.W.C. Context I Foeder aged sour with blueberries

    Suarez Family Local Boy (Saison?)
    Kane Sunday Brunch
Cigar City Marshal Zhukov's Victory Parade
Suarez Family Lo and Be-Hold Flemish red ale

I'm always a little embarrassed when I get incredible beer from what I consider local-ish breweries for me, from far abroad. That's some ridiculous Cigar City stuff, but it pales in comparison to the Kane and Suarez Family.

Suarez Family 100 Ft North Country beer
Kane / Jackie O's Shell Game
Kane A Night to End All Dawns
    Suarez Family Whistlin' Country beer

And that brings us to the end of box #1. Box #1. Intermission. Interlude. Take a breath.

Magnify Blood Bath milkshake imperial IPA
    Cigar City Confectionator

I left those middle two wrapped, in case one or both is a mystery beer. They were the only beers with individual wrapping.

And, holy shit, a custom bottle opener? What the hell??? This is the most amazing thing I have ever received in one of these BIFs! Seriously. I'm stunned.

    Dear. Lord.

"Thank you," doesn't seem to cut it, Greg. It really doesn't. This is absolutely stunning.

I will be traveling tomorrow, so I may not have an NBS post - but I'll bring a bottle or two with me for the hotel at night, so who knows? More immediately, I will be back in about half an hour - once I've finally showered, and I get some breakfast (at 2 pm) going.

I'm resurrecting an* NBS BIF tradition**: if you're enjoying a new-to-you brew from your sender, outside of the NBS thread, you do the courtesy of reviewing it here. And since I'm just now eating and drinking (other than coffee) for the first time today, and I may or may not have the chance to review any of Greg's beers tomorrow, I'm going to knock this one out right freakin' now:

    Kane Sunday Brunch

Leftover steak, chicken, Parmesan potatoes, and rice make for a wonderful homemade hash. :grinning:

    Oh, yeah, the beer!

At the risk of stating the obvious, this is tremendous. Sunday Brunch is an imperial milk porter, clocking in at 9.2%, and with coffee, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Every single thing about this works: the creamy, lactose-sweet milk porter base; the ABV, which provides some alcohol heat but still allows you to savor each sip; the maple, adding a rich sweetness and a slight woody note; the cinnamon, which grows in strength with each sip; and the coffee, which cuts through the sweetness with a bitter earthiness.

Honestly, it could use even more coffee, but that's like complaining that Christmas could use more pine smell. It's a straight up phenomenally tasty beer, well deserving of its reputation.

Greg, these beers couldn't have come at a better time. I'll try to get to one or two tomorrow if I can, as well.

*Do you, in your head or out loud, pronounce it "Enn Bee Ess," or do you always think "New Beer Sunday" when you see the initials? I go with the former - hence, "an."

**OK, I don't know if it's exactly a tradition, but I definitely do this, and I'm not the only one. :grinning:

Looks like @beertunes is my guy. Who the hell else lives in Bellingham WA, no one that I know. Just got a USPS tab in my mailbox, checked the redelivery code, probably won't get it until the weekday now. Still haven't gotten out my box, but will do it first thing next week. My target has gotten beer from me before, hint #2

No, I don't think we've had a "mandatory" date for the mystery beer. It's fun if you post the review on NBS, but at least post it here.

Finishing up my first from @Roguer 's box, coastal Empire Tybee Island Blonde. An enjoyable brew, although it got dinged in my review for not being to style enough for me. Certainly would be a great beach beer though.

First go at this outrageous box of beers, and new to me King Sue. I have had Pseudo Sue, but this is a completely different animal. To say that this is a great DIPA goes without saying.

I thought the exact same. I was surprised at how decent it was, but it was not that close to a German Koelsch (typing on my phone).

Just when I thought I was safe .... leaving the house, I see a white standard shipping box by the door. On the way to the gf (we are going to Disney today), I took it with me and unwrapped it at her place last night.

@SammyJaxxxx worked some kind of magic with these cans, because holy hell!
