Has anyone done this before? it seems like you just have to check off the breweries you visit and mail the passport to them. But do you need any actual proof you visited a brewery?

I haven't done it, but I believe each participating brewery has a stamp they'll use to prove you were there.

Yup, the Brewers Guild has delivered stamps to the breweries for your proof!

Ok that makes sense. This should be a fun month .

Did it last year. Went to enough to get the free T-Shirt (had NC Beer Month 2015 on the front and all of the participating breweries on the back). I had a lot of fun using the passport as an "excuse" to go visit breweries across the state.

I hit up the four in Greensboro last night to get a head start.

The tricky thing is figuring out where to get the stamp when a brewery has two locations or isn't up-and-running yet. Case in Point: Wise Man Brewing (Winston-Salem) is on the Passport, but they're shooting to open in late Summer/early Fall (the last I've heard). FYI: Natty Greene's has their stamp at their brewpub downtown, not at their production facility.
