    Hello All,

The advice I'm requesting is a little specific and I didn't find anything through a forum search. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm flying into Charlotte on a beercation, driving to Asheville, then down to Athens GA (with a possible audible to Atlanta). I'm spending some time at each location and have the following brewery list put together so far:

Wicked Weed, Foothills, Sierra Nevada, Oskar Blues, Olde Hickory Taproom, Green Man Taproom, Burial Beer Co, NoDa, Creature Comforts, and Terrapin.

Am I missing anything? I haven't done the bar research yet, any must hits? I'd be willing to make detours as long as they aren't too crazy if anything solid is slightly out of my current path.

    Thanks in advance!!

Me: If I am picking just one brewery in Charlotte it's Wooden Robot.

I like Noda (was just there Sunday to hang outside) but the beer is more interesting at Wooden Robot. Sours, IPAs, saisons, etc all top notch and very innovative. My only issue with them is the crowds at the taproom. We actually tried to go to Wooden Robot Sunday but saw the slammed packed crowd and made our way over to Noda instead so I could sit and relax outside.

That said, if you do pick Noda instead, you will enjoy it.

Oh and for bars/restaurants in Charlotte, The Cellar at Duckworths (not the upstairs Duckworths). Superb tap list of rare kegs not available anywhere in town (or the state) and all served at proper tempatures (stouts come out at 55 for example). Food and service are outstanding.

Oh yeah...book your SN tour now if you want any chance of taking one. Weekends book up almost as soon as they open up. It's free and it's pretty damn good (oh and free beer at the beginning and end!).

One other...add Fonta Flora to your list on the drive from Charlotte to Asheville. It is about half way between Hickory and Asheville. It's not a "should do" its a "must do". Rest of your list looks good but I have never been to Athens so can't comment there.

Good call on the free Sierra beer.

Fonta Flora looks very solid and is on the way... Added! Thank you again and cheers. I'm definitely glad you stumbled upon my thread!

I'd skip terrapin but that's just me. You'll be in Athens so why not.

Atlanta has Orpheus and three taverns. Brick store pub and wrecking bar. Could make a day of it.

Also in Athens is Southern brewing co. Good beers and is a cool spot as well.

Yeah Terrapin isn't my favorite but it's less than 2 miles from creature comforts so I figured why not. I have a soft spot for the wake-n-bake (not that it'll be there anyways).

Thanks for the Atlanta info, I will check those spots out.

I'm guessing you'll be passing through or around Greenville, SC. If so, Community Tap is worth stopping by. Greens and Greenville Beer Exchange are both good bottle shops. Also, looks like Carolina Bauernhaus Ales wouldn't be too far out of your way as you head to Athens. I've never been, but I've heard good things.
    Happy beer hunting!
