Had round 2 of long stride at the source and its legit - I didn't notice a decenrnable difference with the first. now finally the raleigh beer fanboys have a reason to roll their skinny jeans up even higher

Had Long Stride b2 the day it was released at Beer Study and thought it was a totally different beer...in a bad way. Lacked the body of b1 and the hop aroma was just kinda grassy and boring. Then again it was served in a 12oz plastic cup... #properglassware

Yeah, a 12oz plastic cup of a DIPA for $7 is ridiculous. Doubt I'll hit them up for anything other than bottles in the future.

^^^ Do not hit them up for anything until they up their quality and customer experience - otherwise you are supporting the shortcomings.

Just had it last week; best NE IPA I've had in that it had a proper backbone to it.

(Which I realize may mean it's not technically to style). But it's great.

Just got a fresh growler of Long Stride b2 from Ridgewood and ya it's just not as good as the original batch. Aside from the hop differences, this batch has a lingering bitterness at the back end that kinda ruins it. Aroma is much better out of a proper glass now.

Ceremonial is back to its usual awesomeness after a little blip with the last batch.

Picked some up last night. Wow! Fantastic beer. Probably the best "session" I've had.

Agreed. Excellent beer! But it isn't really an IPA at 30-something IBU but "Session IPA" sells better than "Session Pale Ale". I'll be buying more for sure.

Yeah, the Citra version has been my favorite so far. Galaxy second... if only they could brew a 6-7.5% version of this...

I'd say the Galaxy one has been my favorite, followed by this most recent one, and then probably the Nelson one (very first canning). Citra is the only one that has been repeated so far right?

First time I've had Surf Wax in a while and WOW these cans are good. There's not much I would pick up over these when it's available.

Just had Surfer Wax for the first time. That might be the best IPA I've had from NC.

I was in Asheville last weekend with the wife and we hit Burial. That was the first time I had tried Surf Wax and it was incredible! They had just canned it a few days before and I have shared some cans back home with friends and have gotten the same reaction from them.

Last night I popped a growlette of Hop Beard I picked up on saturday (along with a fontome, which was a nice saison) and it was really good. Tasted a lot like Hop Drop to me, but I haven't had one of those in a few months.
