Hopefully the new batch is a juice bomb and hazy as hell - last batch was too clear for me but still was tasty. I miss the original form of Hubris - a hazy bomb : )

Hubris is great, but I doubt you will ever see anything hazy from those guys. They're not really a fan of northeast style IPA's I've heard and I think the one time it was like that wasn't intentional.

I haven't tried this year's batch yet, but I really dug last year's Hawkbill. Solid session. I grabbed a growler to enjoy while watching the Super Bowl. Liked the beer much better than the game.

Lynnwood is doing a Barrel Room Society? They do some good IPAs, but was not aware of them being particularly know for barrel aged beers or styles that lend themselves to barrel treatments.

That being said I did enjoy the coffee Czars and Stipes I had there recently and it was barrel aged. Just not sure I would join a club to get it.

I think you're wildly overestimating what percentage of craft beer drinkers want a NE IPA when ordering an IPA.

Had the new batch of Cloud Surfer at Trophy Maywood last night and it's really nice. Great aroma with just a hint of bitterness.

Picked up some Cloud Surfer and Hawkbill tonight. Will be going back for more Hawkbill but I'm fine with a 4-pack of CS. I'll take Pernicious over CS any day of the week for a few dollars less. Hawkbill is right up there with Surfwax but more juicy/tropical to Surfwax' grassy citrus. Both are great beers and Burial is killing it these days. Buying much more of them and less WW.

Surfwax is amazing IPA. Burial is hitting on all cylinders with IPA recently.

Getting quite a few off flavors in my 4-pack of Cloud Surfer.

I can't remember if it was the first or second batch of Hubris but it was very hazy and chunky with hops. Very Heady Topper like.

This. I missed the last run of Surf Wax, but Hawkbill is damn on point.

New batches of Surf Wax and Skillet Doughnut stout released at brewery this weekend. I would expect cans to hit distribution next week.

Does anyone know if Trophy upped their production of Cloud Surfer? I found a good bit of it at the new Beer Study and House of Hops still had a few cans earlier this week.

    This.

Tried Hawkbill for the first time last week and have drank three more cans since then. Something about the mouthfeel I think. Reminds me of a Tired Hands beer for some reason (oats?). Sad I only scooped a sixer.

Also drinking a Surf Wax as we speak...a notch below Hawkbill IMO but a damn fine grassy west coast IPA nonetheless. They're crushing it lately.

High Branch's Big Sister Double IPA should be on people's radar....nice mix between a West Coast and East Coast IIPA, damn good beer. Can't wait to see what these guys keep pumping out.
