There is most definitely is a big drop of M-43 slated for this week, and it's statewide.

Here's the link to their site about the statewide distribution announcement, download the PDF to see which stores are getting it in this week:
    http://oldnationbrewing.com/m-43-statewide-distribution/

I'm super pumped about it, and can't wait for this to HOPEFULLY become a normal occurance! On another note, got a couple four packs of the most recent Juice is Loose and it's tasting fantastic. Just as good (if not better if you really like Citra hops like I do) as the recent batches of M-43.

Definetly one of the few positive reviews I've seen of the recent Ellison juice. I haven't had a chance to stop in yet to try it though.

I think he's talking about Juice is Loose from Transient, but I personally have been curious as to how the Ellison stuff is . . .

Yup, my bad. Was doing two things at once and didn't read that well enough.

How long until the pictures of cases of M-43 people bought show up on Facebook beer groups? If I recall correctly shelf like is something like 40 days, hopefully people buy sensibly instead of trying to "stock up".

Doubtful, people will overbuy and then try to trade it out.

The most I have bought was a case. Because I volunteered to stop by and grab it for 4 other guys... Its coming out enough, no need to stock up. Buy a pack or two and drink it fresh.

Haven't found any shops with it in the Kazoo area yet....

True, as long as they don't wait several weeks to decide to trade it out.

Saw on the local FB page someone asking a local store if there was a limit... Beer guy had to tell him about courtesy and remind him that there's others who would like some some too... Ya animals, weren't you taught to share in preschool?

I get asking if it is along the "I want 2 packs and don't want to have to drive all over to get it" but unfortunatly it is probably more of the "i want a case or two, and want to hoard it, then hold it too long, and try to trade it"

Although ON is encouraging it on FB as well with a "post your haul shots" post... Kind of like the first release where if you were buying enough of it (essentially muling) you got a free shirt.

I picked up a couple of 4pks at lunch from a local store with a reasonable two 4pk limit. From what I gathered is these drops will be weekly going forward so there really is no point of hoarding it.

FIB checking in here, any places you guys know of relatively close to Chicago that these are coming to? Next time I go to Transient I'd like to try and pick some up

MI only distribution, there is a list of stores on Old Nation's FB page.

I had it on tap at Hopcat a few weeks ago under it's former name, Dr. Dank or something. DIdn't strike me as a NE IPA at all. Not really that hazy, not really juicy. I suppose it's possible I got poured the wrong thing, but when I heard Odd Side was releasing Dirty Dank Juice in cans, I got excited until I learned that it was the same recipe as Dr. Dank, just with a new name.

I wouldn't be shocked if Witch's Hat still had some of their Defloured NE IPA in bottles. This Guy is a DIPA and Defloured is a single IPA (SIPA?)

That's extra annoying, because from what I can tell, trade value for M-43 isn't that high.

To me, the best thing that M-43 brings to the party is something that is a serviceable surrogate for something like Julius. No, I'm not saying they are equal (they aren't), but the fact that I can now apparently go to the store and grab a 4-pack of M-43 and have to trade a firstborn for Julius definitely matters. M-43 is plenty good enough given how easy it is to get by comparison.

I already grabbed one 4-pack. I will likely grab a second and maybe third if the opportunity presents itself. And it will be gone in 2 weeks or so.

Friend of mine tried it, said it was worth trying but not nearly as good as Transient or Old Nation. It goes without saying I will never try it.

Had a guy offer fresh east coast hops today :grinning:

If what my local store was told is correct, weekly distribution will keep the availability of this relatively high.

Hahahaha. Telling you though, you're missing out on some fantastic stouts. I can't get enough Hazel's.

    :astonished:

Wow. Maybe I should go fishing with some M-43 in the Tree House trading group I'm in on Facebook...

Problem is they'd probably want some stupid ratio like 4:1.

Old Nation has also been playing up the idea that they were on the verge of really being able to crank it out and having a pretty solid plan of how to get to that point. Assuming they keep up the pace they are on, it's one of the more well-planned ramp ups I've seen. Interesting that they've decided to go the route of statewide distro while so many others in their immediate vicinity market-wise seem content to just release out of their facilities.

I'll just say it... This latest batch of M-43 is missing the hop bite and juicy citrus flavor that the previous batch had on draft. Found it to be much more fruity (like tooty fruity candy fruity, if that makes sense). Hoping this is just a hiccup and they can dial the recipe back in to where it was at before the big distribution jump. Could we be seeing proof that this is really hard to nail on a larger scale operation? Time will tell

What batch number is on the bottom of your can?

    I would guess "8".

Didn't taste the same as the recent growler fills I have been getting. Still tastes good, nonetheless.
