In need of a little help here please fellow BAs. I'm coming up o NEBCO June 13th from NJ. What bars/restaurants/bottle shops would you recommend? Thanks!
I'm personally a Sallys pizza guy, but both are great. CT doesn't get great distro IMO so any bottle shop will do. Don't get your hopes up for SoS or Ghandi
Plenty of options for beer bars in the New Haven area. The downtown options are Prime 16 (Burgers and Bourbon are also options here) and Cask (tons of taps). The Outer Space in Hamden has a slightly calmer vibe, especially on weekends. Good place to visit if you're into indie or local music, as it's essentially three venues in one. Going out into the burbs you have a second Prime 16 in Orange, Plan B in Milford, Mikro in Hamden, and a few more places down towards Stamford/Norwalk (Ginger man, Local, etc).
New england Beverage in Orange is a good stop. great selection and usually a little bit less expensive than Amity, Coastal spirits shops. Downtown New Haven has a lot of spots already covered above. Prime is great for burgers and pint.
Also Modern usually has NEBCO on tap and gets some of their Rarer Kegs like Fuzzy Baby Ducks on occasion
