This was posted earlier on New England Brewing's FaceBook page:

"Hi everyone, we wanted to take second and give everyone a quick update on what’s happening at NEB. Some of you know that we’re in the process of preparing for our new bigger equipment to arrive in the next week. The installation of the new brew house will require us to stop production for about a week or so in order to get it up and running. To help avoid out of stock issues with draft we’re excited that we’ll be brewing a batch with our good friends at Two Roads. This will only be for one batch and our Head Brewer Matt will be at Two Roads for the brew. We're lucky to get to work with Phil and John whom we have great respect for (as well as their whole staff).
After our expansion is complete it will take us a bit to recover from being shut down but we will have the ability to brew twice the amount of beer on a daily basis. We hope to be caught up by early to mid November. In December we will add even more fermentation capacity on top of what is coming next week. This will bring our capacity to roughly double what we will have produced in 2015. Thank-you for your appreciated continued support and patience. We can't thank everyone enough.
    -The NEB Team"

Seems like more beer being brewed every day and by 2016 almost double the production. Sounds like a win in my book!

I'll believe it when I see it. Brewing more doesn't necessarily mean more availability of things like Gandhi-Bot.

Where I'm located (Simsbury) it seems that SeaHag is just about at that point to where it is pretty much available (at least on tap) pretty much all of the time. I think if GBot got to that point I would be pretty happy. I go out at least once a week to a craft beer focused bar and have only had GBot on tap once in the past few years, so any increase is a good increase in my opinion. It's weird seeing SOS and even Beer'd around more often than GBot.

Why is it weird? NEBCO was very clear they would be doing what they could to keep Sea Hag supply up hence the fact you see it regularly. This is at the expense of Gbot and other products including the Pilsner. SOS, I believe is brewed at a much larger scale than GBot. Someone with more knowledge can always correct me. VT has a lot of SOS around. As for Beer'd, they have been very particular about which accounts they go to. NEBCO is hitting a load of accounts statewide. Beer'd is generally in Hartford area, Middeltown and Southeast corner.

It's been months since I have had Bot, but don't feel I'm missing much given all the newer beers in state. Hag is still my go to though. Can't pass up buying a sixer when I see it.

Queue people saying how the Sea Hag tastes different on that certain canning date that happens to align with the Two Roads batch.

But the release indicates they haven't brewed at Two Roads yet how can the canned beer be different because of Two Roads?

I was referring to what will happen in the future when they do

Yes, everyone would be pretty happy. Same as Julius being available every week, or SoS, or...whatever. Not gonna happen.

Even with the double production capacity, I don't think G-Bot will ever, ever get to the availability of Sea Hag. So, don't be disappointed.

For the record, Julius is almost available every week and SOS continues to be easier and easier to get. Personally, I have no trouble finding SOS on draft throughout the state on a pretty regular basis. Julius gets canned at least twice a month and I can get through the can line at treehouse in under 15 minutes so both of those beers are extremely available to me.

I would say that from my experience and just from what I notice about the places I shop and drink at, that GBot is significantly harder to come by, let alone any of the other beer they brew. I really enjoy this beer but it's not worth chasing it around the state, I'm not expecting it to be around 24/7 but it would be nice to be able to walk into a bar and occasionally see it on tap.

Julius is only very recently available every other week, at the brewery only, in a remote location. SoS has it's own lookout thread; available every few weeks and gone quickly from shelves, but avail on tap if you know where to look, as you said.

I get what you're saying, but a year ago Gandhi was as available as the beers mentioned above, actually much more so. I've had it on tap many times, but it is definitely harder to come by now. I agree it's NOT worth chasing, though I love it. But after the controversy, it became even more hyped.

My point was: Sea Hag is their flagship, G-Bot will never reach that distribution level.

Bcelos you could have picked up a case/almost a case of Gandhi cans 3x at the brewery in the past 2 months...which isn't that far off from the amount of Julius cans you could get from TH based on their limits + very recent every two weeks release.

More Sea Hag would make me happy. I visit family in CT every month or so and have not found it in 6 months. I did not try very hard, but I used to be able to walk into the package store and grab a case if I wanted. As soon as it is easier to get though, I promise I will complain that its "just not the same as it used to be." Especially if its the Two Roads batch...

Did they say that that batch is going to be Sea Hag? I'm not sure I would try to brew a flagship or any sought after beer on a different system. I would probably brew a one off. It would probably mean having a different can printed though...

They said to avoid stock issues with draft beer. My quess is probably not sea hag. Maybe a one off, like you said @Sheppard or maybe they will borrow a bunch of citra from lawsons and brew a 100bbl batch of ducks, lol.

Since they halted production of Elm City to keep up with demand for Sea Hag and 668, I would assume they would want to keep one or the other in stock during the lull. A huge batch of Coriolis or anything else would be nice, but I would assume they would want to keep the taps flowing on the flagship, no?

Where in CT do you go? It has been much easier to find in the last 2 months in the Hartford area.

East Granby, the Liquor Cabinet. Like I said, I haven't been trying that hard, but even a year ago I could walk in and there would be 5 or 6 cases piled up on the floor. Not so anymore. Last time I was there was around Labor Day.

LOL, keep dreaming! Hell, while we're at it, let's see if they can do a Lawson's collab at Two Roads! Super Fuzzy Ducks #1 or Sip of Supernaut
