Nebraska Brewing Company will be releasing their third beer of their Inception Series ,dubbed "Sexy Betty", on July 12th at the brewpub. It is their Little Betty RIS aged in 50 year old French Oak Cognac barrels. I can't wait to get my hands, and most of all tastebuds on this one!

Microbe Rue was surprisingly reasonably priced at 13 a bomber or so... other than that they're pretty proud of their product

There stuff sits on shelves indefinitely around here. Makes me wonder how good a year old bottle of Hop God would be. lol It's entirely too hard to pull the trigger on bottles of Nebraska stuff when you can go home with 2-3 sixpacks or several other bombers of really good beer. Between the Apricot Au Poivre, Fathead, Black Betty, and Hop God...that represents about $100 I wish I could have back.

Black Betty was $25. I can't imagine what she'll cost when she's actually "sexy."

Should be $12 a bottle - 22oz bomber format. They are limited to 40 cases and 2 bottles per person. I see where you're going with the high priced bottles though, saw the 750ml in San Diego for $29.99 when I can find them here for $20 - yikes. To back them up the beers are very well done and I enjoy every single one of them.

Any beer that is more than $1/ounce makes it tough to pull the trigger on, at least for me.

so are beers from many other breweries and they don't feel the need to charge 20 bucks a 750 for a non barrel aged beer.

No distribution, brewery release on Thursday.

Had to be Black Betty - Little Betty is the non-barreled version - Black Betty hangs out in Stranahan Whiskey Barrels for some time.

I guess I don't see where your argument is going here. All of NBCs bottled beers have been barrel aged - they don't release any non-BA brews. Other breweries charging less for a non BA beer makes perfect sense as their hasn't been as much tedious work put into the production of it.
