Hi, I just moved into Nebraska City, NE 68410. Everywhere I've been so far is just run of the mill 3 or 4 craft beers and outside of that mostly the bud, coors, etc... Looking for good beer shops, anyone in the area know good places? I certainly don't want to miss out on the BCBS release this year. But tired of the very limited selection. Thanks
You'll get used to driving to Lincoln or Omaha on a regular basis for any shopping that's more adventurous than Wal-Mart. If you're heading to Lincoln, The Still is about 40 minutes from Nebraska City (on the southeast edge of town, near 70th and Nebraska Parkway) and will definitely be carrying multiple BCBS variants. A bit closer to your new home, however...Auburn Discount Liquor is a 20-minute drive south, and despite the name, it is one of the better stores for craft beer in that part of southeast Nebraska. I have family in Auburn and I've bought (base) BCBS there in the past.
Thank you for this. Helps a ton. I was also told that Hy-Vee in Omaha/Plattsmouth will also be carrying BCBS (at least base)...I hope that's true. I'll be calling them to make sure.
