I've been away from trading for a while (3 years give or take) so am looking for direction on trading away some sours, which my stomach is no longer tolerating, for BCBS and Black Tuesday. The questions I have are related to value and whether all at once would greatly diminish the trade value.

Good luck, the trading environment three years ago does even closely compare to today's. But you are looking for beers that don't demand what they once did so I hope you do well.

what's it like nowadays? i'm pretty sure it would be similar for me, as i would just tap old traders and ask "what do you want? wonder if i can get it," but i'm curious.

Winning trades, agreeing to trades than backing out. I had a douche bag ask me to buy Forest and Main bottles and hold them for me, bought bottles for three different beers since he was not yet able to trade. Then he simply bailed. I have thought of outing the person, but why bother.

Just to be clear, I meant to say hold bottles for him. Not a big deal since I drank them and shared them with other who appreciated them, but each time a new release was around the corner, I would hear from him and he would thank me for doing this. Then he bailed.

You have a lot of great beers that will land you a significant amount of BCBS, its variants, and Black Tuesday (and its variants if you so desired since these are more abundant that they were 3 years ago). The issue may come down to international trading which can discourage a lot of people from trading (unless your location has not been properly set). BCBS and variants are coming out again in about 3 months if you want to wait a little longer, but again, you have plenty of ammo get them now.

Since you've been away for so long, basically treat yourself as a new trader. That means:
    1. Research by searching the forum for beers you want to trade and what have been offered for them. If you're not sure about something, ask here.

    2. Use the new(ish) BA trade system, especially send only after your trade request has been accepted, but most importantly trade with people with higher trade counts and positive feedback. You can save yourself a lot of headaches with getting screwed over.

I keep a running tab of bad/questionable traders in my profile with links to threads outing them. It's worth checking the name of the trader against that list and decide for yourself if you want to proceed should the trader be on that list.

    Best of luck and cheers!

Yeah shipping to Norway is gonna be the problem you have nowadays

BCBS is still available on shelf, including here by me, there's even some 2012 still on shelf for some folks. I think you will have no trouble getting whatever you want with what you are offering.
