I am throwing a bachelor party for my friend and I need recommendations for decently good beer to drink in high volumes thats not terribly priced. I was thinking Sierra Nevada pale ale cans .. but not sure. Thank you in advanced.

Raises the question of how many people you need to consider a keg.

Where are you doing the drinking? How many people, etc... If you're going w/ a keg I'd go w/ the above, if not, I'd offer some variety. I love SNPA, but wouldn't want to drink it all day.

A 5 gallon keg of SNPA is more expensive per ounce than 12 packs (based on a quick check of BevMo pricing). If you've got enough people to tackle a 15.5 gallon keg, it's cheaper, but that's ~165 12oz servings, and you have to worry about a deposit and dispensing it.

Bottles are the way to go.

If you're near a CostCo that carries craft beer, Stone IPA may be worth considering. Otherwise I'd suggest Sierra Nevada as well considering you could mix up a few different styles.

+1 for Costco Stone. Haven’t bought Stone from Costco in a while, but last time I did it was like a buck per bottle.

Breweries I would consider would be:

    Stone
New Belgium - (available in cans)
    Lagunitas
    SN - (available in cans)
    Full Sail
Sam Adams (more for the mix packs or seasonals over Boston Lager)
    Oskar Blues - (Cans)

SN shift, stone levitation, ballast point longfin lager, hangar 24 orange wheat. these are all under 5% and super easy to find anywhere
