Did he not agree to what is bolded in the quote of your post above prior to this thread being created?
If not, one could assume that things are only being made right to prevent a BT thread or tag. I am not saying one way or another if that is something deserving of a BT thread or tag, just another point of reference.

Maybe that's why he kept sending you SMASHED bottles. LOL. Sorry, gotta make LIGHT of this situation.

But, he owes you the bottles, you did nothing wrong here.

    Feedback can be “ok”
“Original trade not completed due to a lost box. After a forum on BA, the trader eventually sent alternative bottles that were satisfactory”

Right and what you write is key. Since previously mentioned, while "Okay" feedback shows in the Stats the Reputation can/will still be 100%. So, unless potential traders are reading the feedback, they'd have no idea simply going off of the %.

From reading over his post, it appears he agreed after the OP created this thread. I don't have a problem with that; on the contrary in fact. Assuming that's what prompted @LGHT to ultimately make things right with the OP, I'm happy this thread had the desired effect (the OP will get the beer he was promised).

I see what you're saying and where you're coming from - perhaps BT tag hasn't been earned just yet, there are all of the warning signs there. At the very least, I'd like to see neutral feedback, ideally negative. Everything that occurred was hardly convenient or acceptable for the OP. A lost box, a leaking box with incorrect bottles, all kinds of posts elsewhere about the promised bottle being in possession but not for the OP - this is all exceptionally suspicious and unsavory. I can see how this doesn't fit the very precise and exacting mould of BT, but it's surely skirting the boundaries of it.

People offer to proxy beers and get banned. But this guy doesn't? I'm not seeing the rationale between these very odd standards of play.

A more liberal interpretation would definitely put LGHT in the BT forum.

There's a lot of unsavory details to this story. I too saw the "hey I just picked up 6 Hypermash from my local pizza joint" which taints the story and further how is someone with over 40 trades having issues sending a box?

Not quit I posted this before I even knew about this thread:
"ohh sorry let me send you a cryo I should be picking them up tonight. I think my helper grabbed the wrong bottle. I had her do it since I didn't have time and didn't want to keep holding back the box until I got back in town."

Once I realized he was pretty angry after reading his post here I followed up with:
"Hey noticed your post. If you don't want the cryo just let me know or if you prefer a full cash
refund for the beers you sent it's all good either way it's just beer. Either way my cell is if you're upset and want to give me a ring."

I never avoiding replacing the bottles with ones that HE wanted and asked for. If if was angry and upset getting cryo he should have just said so.

I never told him I couldn't "obtain a replacement hyper" bottle. In fact it never even came up. I even offered to mule beers several days before the box went missing:

    On 3-30 I wrote:

"On a side note I may be able to get out to BL tomorrow to pick up some crowlers. If you need anything let me know. They have a barley wine "intrepid orchid" that got rave reviews and they just droped a smore's stout "ghost proton" that's also supposed to be really good."

I wasn't even aware of the lost box until the 3rd and when I found out and offered other bottles he wrote:

"Yeah I don't have a lot of hope either but I'd definitely be interested in the Cryo and maybe the Goshawk's Migration.

I gave him EXACTLY what he wanted as replacements had he simply said I rather have a hyper can you try and find one I would have traded locally for one instead.

It's not about the beer at this point it's about him feeling neglected and thinking he loss in the trade and more than likely feeling a bit apprehensive that he didn't speak up and ask for the Hyper instead of agreeing to get cryo instead. I think he's just looking for some empathy and wants to be seen as victim and all at the same time get a bottle of hypersmash... Kudos my friend Jag well played!

The classic blame the victim defense, common in these kind of threads.

next move is to take shots at the peanut gallery here.

If you don't have time to pack your own boxes as you're so busy, maybe you shouldn't trade until things slow down a bit for you. Your attitude still sucks in every way.

I thought the 2nd box had a concentrated solution? Which is not exactly what he wanted.

In this thread here from 3/31 you offered a bottle of HH: https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...sh-hydra-ft-modern-times.636912/#post-6851848. Looks like you didn't close this trade, as the OP of that thread has no feedback from you and no open trades.

You said you found out about the lost box on 4/3, just three days later. Did you still have this bottle of HH at that time?

He already what... ? Man, you have an unfortunate habit of starting sentences that don't finish when talking about this particular subject lol.

And if you didn't send him exactly what he wanted then maybe it isn't prudent to say that you gave him "EXACTLY what he wanted?"
