Will be passing by FFF @ 5-6 pm on 6/8/12
What I need is carryout cost of say ZD per 6 & case price
Also I understand the carryout is separate entrance?
Need to be in & out quick ( lot of driving)
Can this be done ? Any additional info & prices are greatly appreciated
I will call before I get there ,does carryout have it's own number?
My relative is doing this for me & I don't want to ask alot of them but they do owe me a favor
    Cheers

$10 per sixer, $35 per case. I have also heard about the new carryout entrance, but haven't yet seen it.

Yes, this can be done relatively quickly if you get there at that time. Case price of ZD is $35, individual 6-packs are $10. Nearly all bombers are $10, though Live a Rich Life is $15 if they still have some left. You can enter in the main entrance to pick up for carry out. If there is a door attendant just tell him/her that you are there for carry out only.

All 6 packs to go are $10. Cases are $35 (have to be the same beer. If u mix n match a case they will charge u $10/6pack). The carryout is not a separate entrance. U still have to go in the main door but u can exit through the carryout out door (kinda stupid but that's how they do it). If you're getting just beer to go shouldn't take long at all. Prices for bombers vary but are usually $8-$10 for the seasonal and year round stuff. I think the Mutiny and Mollusk collab with Half Acre is $9, Live A Rich Life is $15 and can't remember how much for Rye da Lightning. Hope this helps

Can that be considered a urban myth now ? I think it has qualified . Tried to edit to say I was going to call ahead and if anyone knows if the website ph # is good to use for carryout?
    Thanks all

I don't think you have to do any sort of call-ahead. There isn't ever a wait for the retail beer entrance. I don't know if they do any sort of carryout FOOD... that might be a phone call. But beer, just go there, buy beer, move along, etc.

I believe the reason that you can't enter but CAN exit the carryout door has to do with checking people's ID's. It seems to speed up the process quite a bit.

Not when I was there this past Saturday. You had to wait in the same line as for the pub (for ID check as noted above) ; and there most certainly was a line. Didn't take too long but a bit annoying when all I wanted was carry out. Also - once I got in the entrance I read the chalkboard and only then learned they were OUT of Zombie Dust. Shudda called 1st - or lacking that they should put a board up OUTSIDE so those arriving only for ZD don't stand in line needlessly.

How late can one do carry out? Driving by that same night but not until 10 PM or so.

This would be true; however, every time I have gone both the man at the front door and the carry out guy check ids.

I have never once seen this situation happen before or after the new takeout section was built. Last time I was there was the day after DLD, and there was a huge line to get into the pub, and a separate line, although also through the front door, for takeout beer. Every other time I've been there just to pick up beer, I often will skip past all the people waiting outside to get in by just telling them I am just there for beer to go.

Hey man you callin' me a liar? jk Just telling my story on that particular day. There was no separate line for carryout only; but maybe we should have tried to simply bypass the line and tell the ID dude we were only there for carryout. And I was not the only one in <the single> line for carryout. No real problem didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes; my bigger issue was only after entering the little vestibule did I learn they did not have Zombie Dust. Would have preferred a sign outside as that was my only reason for stopping that day - not a Pub visit. What I'd really like is a illuminated billboard on 80/94 near Calumet Ave so those of us simply driving past without time for a Pub visit could continue on if what were looking for is unavailable. Cheers!

Last time i went on a saturday there was a 2.5 hr wait for food, and a 30 min wait for carryout. That was around 4:30-5:00. We didn't wait on that day.

I was there last night and they had 20+ cases of Zombie Dust piled up in the take out area.

It may sound complicated per all the posts but, honestly, it isn't....walk thru the door, show your i.d., hang a left, ask for beer, pay, smile, walk out.

    Simple.

Since it's a Friday and it'll be after work for most folks, the most you'll wait is 30 minutes. Probably a lot less. It'll be worth it. Trust me, you'll be glad you stopped.
