What you need are garden hoses, not vinyl tubing. And a garden hose to sink faucet adapter, assuming your faucet is a standard kitchen sink type faucet. If it's a utility sink type faucet, you may not need any adapter.

If you're willing to DIY you can save about $25. Depends on how big you want to go and if you're willing to do a touch of soldering. I'm sure there's a way to hose clamp those fittings on too. I just made one for about $70 but it was 50' of 1/2'' copper. I couldn't imagine needing anything any bigger for 10-12 gallons.

Ya, I'm not hands on at all. I guess I'll pick up 2 6' lengths of hose and an adaptor if I can find one that fits my faucet. Its threaded on the outside.

If you have a faucet that's threaded on the outside, it might already be the right size/configuration for a garden hose.

Its not, I just ran out and checked. I may have to get two adaptors, a faucet female to female and the faucet to hose.

you can swap out your kitchen faucet aerator for a garden hose fitting. unscrew the aerator from the faucet with pliers. its a good idea to put a kitchen towel between the pliers and aerator or it will scratch. match the thread size at the hardware store. you can get either female or male.

it is a bit of a hassle to always have to swap it out. i ended up soldering in a hose bib attachement under the sink.

+1 on the aerator adapter. You should be able to find a universal adapter at most local hardware/home improvement stores for just a few dollars. It comes with multiple threaded fittings, both male and female. Use whichever parts you need and discard the rest (though you might want to hold on to them in case you ever change faucets or use a different sink)
