I just moved from Florida to outside the Boston area (Wilmington, MA) and I am looking for a store/s that sell a large selection of craft brews. It has been a big eye opener for me coming here and not being able to get a large selection of good beer from a store like Total Wine.
Does any one know where I can go to get some good beer? I am dying for some big boy IPA's right now.

it wouldnt be an every day treck. but if you findyourself heading to boston, go through belmont and hit the craft beer cellar. not a big place but great selection. and the owners are really cool and helpful beer nerds!

It wouldn't hurt to post this in the New England Forum.

There a ton of great shops around, depends on how far you are willing to go. Mine in order of favorites: Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont, Julio's in Westborough, Acton Wine & Spirits in Acton, Colonial Spirits in Acton, Marlborough Wine & Spirits. All get great beers, have large selections and see routine limited releases. They seem to get picked clean I the order I have listed as well, but you never know what you may find hiding on the shelves. Only caution is that Colonial may have a good selection, but they know jack about the beer they sell. Their staff is young and inexperienced and it shows most of the time.

    Good luck!

Redstone, Redstone, Redstone. Very close to Wilmington, and one of the best stores in the Boston area. If you happen to work down inside 128, my other highly recommendeds are as follows:

Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont (this one is worth going to even if you don't normally go anywhere near)
Ball Square Fine Wines in Somerville
Downtown Wine & Spirits in Davis Square
    Liquor World in Porter Square

I buy 99% of my beer from these 5 stores. FWIW, they all have twitter and facebook and share beer info regularly.

Is Tim or Ryan no longer there? They used to be quite knowledgeable - and helpful without being pretensious.

Burlington Wine and Spirits, Bermans in Lexington and Harringtons in Chelmsford are all great stores for selection.

Redstone Liquors in Stoneham is king, rapid liquors down the street is good too.

Julios in westborough has a ton of selection.

    downtown wine and spirits, somerville,
    Atlas in Medford (good prices)
    liquor world, cambridge

In wilmington theres a store next to the Lucci's supermarket, dont remember the name but its definitely serviceable. It has nostalgic value to me since when I turned 21 I was working down the street, and that was my first regular beer store. I still remember my first purchase, a 6pack of hoegarden.

They aren't great but if you find yourself on rt38 down in Lowell Ive found some decent bottles of Bruery, Boulevard, Grand Teton and stuff of that sorts at Stadium Liquors there is another shop about 2minutes away on your right heading towards Shed Park... as I said they aren't great but a quick easy stop off of 495 without having to deal with heading closer to boston...
