need help from broward/dade BA's

    Will be driving down from Citrus County for Orange Bowl and probably staying in south Broward near turnpike. I can already get CCB but are there and good local breweries I should try or get growler fills from. Are there any good eating drinking places in area. Thanks. GO NIU!

    There are currently only 2 production breweries in South Florida and both are in Palm Beach County (Due South & Tequesta). There are plenty of brewpubs in South Florida but they don't do growlers and most aren't around the area you are going to be at. There is Hollywood Organic Brewery but I haven't been there yet. I hear they do German style beers and food. Other choices if you want to take a trip:

    Funky Buddha Lounge and Brewery - Boca Raton
    Brewzzi - Boca Raton
    Big Bear Brewing Co - Coral Springs
    Titanic Brewing Co - Coral Gables

    As for bars I don't really know of many places in that area unfortunately.

    If you're staying in South Broward the Falcon Pub in Davie is pretty decent.

    Yard House in Hallandale is a great place with a solid selection (Chain yes but good still the same). I don't live in FL but whenever I visit I head there and have never been dissapointed.

    Check out Laser Wolf in Ft. Lauderdale - keep hearing how great this place is.

    You can also check out Riverside Market Place in Ft. lauderdale. Great bottle selection, Goose Island on tap.
