I have a friend going up to charlotte for the week starting this saturday. She agree to pick me up a few bottles while she was out there. The problem is i have no idea what you guys have available over there! Here in vegas we can get pretty much anything from as far east as Michigan, but other than DFH we are incredibly dry on east coast brews. The closest store to her is the Total wine on 440 East McCullough. I would love to send her to brawley's, but its entirely too far to make her drive. If someone can give me suggestions that they know i can get at that store it would be greatly appreciated! I appreciate any help you guys can give me!

will gladly return the favor if any of you come out to Las Vegas!

I would tell her to look out for Olde Hickory, Foothills, Duck-rabbit, Terrapin, Sweetwater, Smuttynose. You don't get Founders or Bells out there do you? If not, those are a must..

that's the University Total Wine and they have a pretty decent selection. They don't have near the turnaround as some of the others so you should be able to find some pretty awesome things like Smuttynose S'muttonator or Baltic Porter. Anything in their "Big Beer Series" is great. I would have her look for any of the local NC breweries (Foothills, Olde Hickory, Olde Meck). I would avoid Duck Rabbit, as i'd hate for her to bring back a bottle and it have infection issues.

then of course things by Bells and Founders, even if it's year round would be a good pick up.

If you like über hopped IPA's have her grab you some Old Hickory Death By Hops. It's one of the best NC beers out there.

I was just in that exact store last weekend, and was quite impressed with the selection (just moved to Charlotte a few weeks ago). As everybody else has stated so far...focus on the NC brews...they really are impressive.

Dont forget about Dark Horse and Great Lakes. Hoppin Frog and Jolly Pumpkin are a fantastic idea as well.
