I've been a homebrewer for not too long now and i've mainly been buying ingredient kits from austin homebrew, midwest supplies and northern brewer. I brew mini mash / partial mash style. I was wondering if someone can help me create a recipe to match a beer I like.

Any and all help would be appreciate. Thanks!

Really, you probably could do this beer as as extract + steeping grains and skip the mini-mash. None of the ingredients they list really warrant a mash unless you want to brew it as all grain.

    Maybe something like:

    Extract
    6# Briess Golden Light DME

    Steep
    1/4# Crystal 40
    1/2# Crystal 60

    Hops
30 minutes 1 oz Northern Brewer
5 minutes 1 oz Northern Brewer, 2 oz Cascade
Dry Hop 5-7 days 2 oz Cascade

1 pack of US05 yeast, rehydrated
    Ferment mid-60's if you can

This should get you pretty close in terms of color, IBUs (assuming a full volume boil), and ABV, although it will probably finish a bit sweeter.

Beertools will help you get your gravity, color, and IBUs in the ballpark of where they should be by playing with the available ingredients. Hop taste and aroma are up to your experience.

There are several free brewing software options out there as well. Run a forum search for "brewcipher" for my free brewing spreadsheet of choice
