Midwest recommendations...Where to start? Well, I would start with New Glarus brews. (Since they distribute only in Wisco, and are fantastic.) Moon Man is one of the best pale ales that I've ever had (this coming from a guy whose benchmark is Zombie Dust. Btw get that one if you can.) Fat Squirrel is a great brown ale. Then of course there's their fruit beer, which they are famous for I believe. I've had Raspberry Tart, Belgian Red, and Serendipity. All fantastic, (Raspberry Tart is my fave tho).

A few suggestions that i must make are.

Tyranena - Brewers Gone Wild Series. Make him get what ever flavor he can get. You wont be disappointed
New Glarus - Dancing Man Wheat, Or any of the Fruit series (serendipity, raspberry tart, belgian red)
Central Waters - Anything Barrel Aged

These you need to go to Illinois to get.
Revolution Brewing - Anti Hero IPA.
Pipeworks - Pick one, i love the citra ninja :stuck_out_tongue:

Another thing to consider is distribution differences. Don't get me wrong, I've got much love for the local WI brews. However, you may also find interested is something that's non-midwest yet unavailable where you're from.

    Try this:

Also need to know how the friend is going to drive there..Is he going into GR? or into Michigan? I mean just Michigan Breweries depending on the drive that are total must hits are for grabbing bottles or cans are

Along the I-94 route Greenbush, Bells, Darkhorse, Jolly Pumpkin are must visits...

Into Grand Rapids, Founders, Vivant, Perrin

But not knowing how the route is going to go, just dont know

I was at your store last weekend and I'm glad I made the drive for the Pipeworks (Coffee Break Abduction) and the sixer of Black Butte that I can't get in Madison!
