I have a customer who is determined to get Diebels Alt. Yes, I know it's In-Bev/AB. He wants it, that's enough for me to seek it or a suitable substitute. Has anyone had it? If you have not, sorry, but your recommendations would be no different then mine.
It is not one of the better Alts in Germany. Not very bitter and lots of caramel flavors. I had some in Germany when I lived there, but stopped ordering it. Not many Alts make it over here, and they don't travel well. He may want it for a reason, but I don't know if it is imported.
