I've got a tower installed on top of granite in my outdoor oyster bar. For the past couple years I've been storing the keg underneath the granite in a homemade insulated rubbermaid bucket. We typically use this setup for parties and often have beer in the keg post-party necessitating multiple runs to the bait shop for ice to keep the keg cool. I'm considering buying/building a keg cooler that I can rig into my tower - i.e. I'm just looking for a refrigerator with the ability to tap into the beer line that runs to my tower. The opening below the granite is 35" high x 26" wide x 24" deep. Looking for suggestions/recommendations - Thanks.

    Nope.
You need a kegerator. Sorry to be blunt. Your ice solution doesn't work and the answer is a kegerator. Let me guess, you use a party pump?
If you want keg beer and you want it to last for more than a day or so, you need a kegerator, a dedicated appliance specifically designed for the dispense of keg beer. End.

We can help if you are willing.

Or defy dozens of years of collective wisdom and professional livelihood. Good luck.

    Cheers.

No party pump for my oyster bar. I've got a tower and faucet with a beer line going down to a sandkey with a CO2 tank on the ground. The tower/faucet sit on top of granite with the beer line going through the granite. I'd like to place a keg refrigerator below the granite.

My insulated rubbermaid dbl- bucket will keep ice for a little more than two days in the summer, but we'd still like to have that Keg for up to a week.

    That can be done.

You will find that refrigerators that can hold a half barrel keg are either full size or a kegerator. Under bar kegerators exist, and they are expensive. You will need to fully insulate the space between the refrigeration and the tower, and you will need a good tower fan to keep everything cold. Let's hope you have enough space beneath your counter top to get a kegerator in there (you are getting a kegerator, did I mention that?)

    Cheers.

Find a apt. size freezer, will hold at least 4 Cornys or perhaps 2-1/2s, or full if desired. low setting is around 32-38 deg F.. hopefully it fits under your counter. small fridge, (Danby/Igloo/etc) will hold 2 Cornys or 1/2 keg. Be carefull putting a hole for your liquid line, and fill your line before filling the hole left over with spray foam. good luck. Make sure your liquid line is long enough for your psi
