I was going by the listings on that other beer site, not from the brewers. ; ) ?????

I'm a walker by nature, not particularly pudgy for an old fart, but walking more when I drink more- in a not so scientific, but intuitive fashion- keeps me on an even keel. The miles that I hike translate into a good three beers on "some" days. Obsessing about numbers is something that I was never taught well.

This is BA so I thought I'd ask. Are you trying to catch a slight buzz? IAre you trying to just get some beer flavors in at under 150 calories? Best bang for your buck flavor wise will always be less of the higher quality higher ABV gems than almost any "light beer" out there.

I laugh when I see those MGD64 commercials and then people actually drinking them. But its never just one or two. By the time you reach that desired buzz, its 5 or 6, which would basically be the same calories and ABV input as a bigger 16oz can of a DIPA. One then needs to ask themselves, which experience is more rewarding or fulfilling.

Beers and sodas are the very worst of things to be consuming if you are trying to lose weight. Ugly empty calories.

I pretty much only drink on weekends and if you workout a little and watch what you eat, that works pretty well for me....(even though I do have a little bit of a belly - haha).

if you don't want to drink high abv beers all the time, you can learn to enjoy some styles that are often lower abv. for example a gose can be super refreshing on a hot day but comes in at 4-5ish % ... also maybe try a session IPA or a hoppy pilsner if you want something with some hoppier aspects.

Fresh Pilsner Urquell is the best session beer around.
