So I have a chile-head cousin in WI who just got into beer, and he loves (LOVES) chile beers. He wanted me to send him some beers, and I want to send him as many CO chile beers as I can.

    So far, I have:

    Ghost Face Killah (of course)
    Billy's Chiles
    Mexican Chocolate Sout
(Reluctantly) a 2-year old bottle of Cocoa Molé
Patty's Chilie Beer (he'll hate it lol)
Also might throw in a small growler of chile beer from Coopersmith's in Fart Collins

What else is there that I should throw in? I can do growlers and the like, so if a beer is only available at at brewery, that's no prob.

The best I've ever had is Yellow Fever from Comrade.

Crystal Springs Solano is a favorite of mine. Should still be bombers around.

    x2 Comrade's Yellow Fever
Wynkoop's is good...more of a chili flavor than heat

Yellow Fever is the best. Sigda's (Coopersmith's) is probably 2nd. Patty's is good, too. They have a newer amber one at the 'Koop that I also like.

Yeah, I'd love to include this, but I'd like to send it by the end of summer.

Comrade is only available on tap, probably only at the brewery. Patty's (Wynkoop) is in cans sometimes but almost always on tap at the brewery.

Yeah, and be sure to call first. You can get growlers and half-growlers there.

Does anyone think I might be able to find that back to black version Left Hand did, the chilie porter? That would be a hit, fo' sho'.

I'm not a fan of chile beers, and they are not from CO, but Breakside from Oregon does some really nice beers and they have Toro Red ale with chiles and Tropicalia, a farmhouse with chiles and lychee. They sound like unique chile beers and I'm sure they're not in WI

I would warn him in advance about GFK. Drinking it is not a pleasant experience and don't plan on having taste buds for a while afterwards

    That's Fade to Black.
You might check the larger stores that had ordered oodles of it.

While it would be old stock at this point, Ska's Autumnal Mole might still be around.
Tommyknocker's Green Chili lager is in cans and should be an easy find.
Renegade can do growler fills of Una Mas.
Those are the only other ones I can think of.
