Coming to Sporting v Union game at PPL in early March. Anywhere NEAR the stadium worthwhile for pre gaming? (Already have VICTORY and Monk's on the list for the weekend)
As a Union season ticket holder I will say that the only worthwhile place to pregame is bring your tailgaiting gear and pregame in the parking lot. There is not much worthwhile in Chester, unless you want to go to the Harrah's Chester casino before the game. That being said PPL park has some decent beer offerings with 22 oz Sierra Nevada Pale Ales for $13 and some other local crafts Victory(Prima Pils and Hop Devil) and Flying Fish for $9.
God no! If you wander off from the stadium looking for a beer the chances of you returning minus a few stab wounds or bullet holes is slim. There is a reason why there are police stationed on EVERY intersection in that area of Chester. Bring your own to tailgate and enjoy some of the beers they serve in the stadium.
^^THIS^^ the fact that the Chester, PA wiki article has its own section titled "Crime" speaks volumes /white person
It sounds like you've got some decent transportation so if you're going to make it out to Victory then I'd also recommend checking out Tired Hands in Ardmore.
